The Bitterroot is having great dry fly action right now. We saw the temps cool off a bit which helped us keep those hatches coming a bit longer. Mid mornings and evenings have been very buggy with green drakes, PMD's, and golden stones. For the earlier mornings or warmer afternoons, we'd recommend a dry dropper or nymphing. The flashback Pheasant Tail, Perdigons, and Frenchies are great options for fishing below the surface. We are expecting warmer temps going into next week so the fishing will switch over to the earlier and later times of the day for the most productivity.
The lower river is currently 1160 CFS, upper river is 789 CFS, and the West Fork is 202 CFS.
