Cooler temperatures have reached the Bitterroot and looks like they'll be sticking around into next week. We are still seeing some good Trico and Hecuba action out on the river and hoppers have also been hitting steady. With the rain from yesterday and today we could see the water get a bit churned up and switching over to nymphing if they aren't rising will be a good bet. There has been good luck with the hopper dropper as well, aim for the banks and don't be afraid to twitch your bug. For that dropper or nymph rig we suggest a Perdigon, Jig Duracell, TJ Hooker, or a rubber legs.
The current flows are 305 CFS for lower river, 432 CFS for upper river, and 323 CFS at the West Fork.
