The Bitterroot is starting to see consistent cooler temperatures and a mix of cloudy and sunny days following a few days of rain from the beginning of this week. The Trico hatch has still been decent, and we are anticipating the mayflies such as Mahoganies and BWO's to start appearing soon. The hopper dropper pattern has still been producing well along with nymphing, consider using a Perdigon, Jig Duracell, or a Flashback Pheasant tail. With the cooler temperatures we are also gearing up for streamers, try using a sparkle minnow, Lil' Kim, or Wooley Bugger.
The current flows are 535 CFS for the lower stretch, 435 CFS for the upper river, and 265 CFS at the West Fork.
